Vickie VanHooser is a registered nurse and currently performs as the Clinical Research Coordinator for urologic cancers
and cancer prevention trials. Currently, patients are being evaluated for clinical trials for prostate cancer and
the SELECT trial (selenium and vitamin E cancer prevention) sponsored by the Southwest Oncology Group. Researchers are also involved in basic science reserach involving genetic studies of tissue samples as
predictors for genitourinary cancers. New and innovative clinical trials are offered to our Department on a regular
basis, and Ms. VanHooser will be happy to talk with you about your concerns and interests at your convenience.
