Dominic Frimberger, MD

![]() Dr. Frimberger received his MD from the University in Germany. He did his urology residency in a combined program through the University in Munich Germany and the Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Urology at the Brady Urological Institute. He now serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Department of Urology, Section of Pediatric Urology. Dr. Frimberger is a member of the German Urology Association (DGU) and the Endourologic Society. Dr.
Frimberger has a general pediatric urology practice and specializes in
neonates and children with congenital urologic birth defects such as
bladder exstrophy and epispadias. He is also trained in fluorescence
diagnostics and laser therapy for urogenital conditions. In addition,
he has a number of research interests in specialized areas of pediatric
urology. These include congenital urologic birth defects and
reconstructive surgery, tissue engineering and stem-cell research. Of
note, he is first author of numerous peer-reviewed articles on pediatric
urology topics and has contributed book chapters on these topics to such
highly regarded urological texts as “Glenn’s Urologic Surgery, 6th
Editor, Pediatric Surgery, 4th Edition and Surgery of Infants
and Children, 2nd Edition.
