Carson Wong, MD, Chief of Adult Urology and an Assistant Professor of Urology at OUHSC, is the Director of the Section of Endourologic,
Laparoscopic, and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He serves as a mentor of a fellowship program that is endorsed by the
Endourological Society, and is the urologic laparoscopy course director
for Innovations in Medical Education and Training
(IMET). Wong is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology, a Fellow of the
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
(FRCSC), a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and a Licentiate of
the Medical Council of Canada. Clinical areas of
interest include laparoscopic surgery, stone disease treatment and prevention, endourology, oncology, minimally
invasive treatment of urologic diseases, and general urology. In addition to clinical practice, Wong's research
interests include ablative therapies for kidney cancer, robotic surgery, new technologies for the treatment of stone
disease, oncology, and tissue engineering. He is a member of the Endourological Society, the
Canadian Urological Association and the
American Urological Association.
